After accomplishing her first master degree of Vocal Music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music, Yichan Shu holds her second music master degree at UBC and has founded VISM (Vancouver International School of Music) to bridge students to the world-leading class music academies.
In her role as VISMs founder and CEO, she closely works with cities and regions worldwide to drive a deeper understanding of musical arts and a world musical education change, and dedicates to bringing intensive world musical learning experiences to building up a stronger global music community.
Yichan Shu has received a number of awards for both her musical and academic achievements. She is the member of Helen Chen Lee Studio. Yichan is the recipient of the Scholarship of UBC and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She was the performer of the Stiftung Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. Yichan was played the role Anaide from opera Il Cappello di Paglia di Firenze in UBC Chan centre. Her roles include Fiordiligi from Cosi fan dutte by Mozart, Nanetta from Falstaff, Liu from Turandot and so on. She also performed as a soloist at Verdi concert with Vancouver symphony orchestra at Orpheum Theatre and Bard on the beach Shakespeare festival in Vancouver.
