Grace ChuYü Liang is a young soprano, who’s specialty is in voice performance.
Grace believes that voice performance should be taught by teachers of practical performing experience. Therefore, Grace is an active vocal performaner. She sang in one of the concerts of The Noon Hour project, the Singer’s Concert, in 2017. In the same year, she was invited to sing in the annually celebration of arts “Nuit Blanche”. She appeared in performances held in private clubs and other singing activities by invitations to the program. To further experiment her singing preference and passion, she was casted in Pippin the musical in 2016. She sang in Michelyn Wright’s Studio Recital in 2015 and 2016 as a solo singer. Her awards include two consecutive years as a prizewinner of the Ontario Competition of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition) in 2015 and 2016. She has recently performed in a Canada 150 recital at the Canadian Music Centre, she has returned as part of a We are 100! recital to honour the 100th birthday of the U of T Faculty of Music, and she is featured in studio recital Ruddigore as Mad Margaret.
