David Wu

David Zong Yuan Wu graduated from the Guangzhou Xinghai conservatory of music in the major of cello. Afterward he went to study for his master's degree in business administration in England. Once he worked in Guangdong TV, the Lenovo group UK, TV channel CNE in UK, and SHAR music Company in Toronto. During working in Guangdong TV (from 1983 to 1989), he organized and produced many of pop concerts for mainland China singers, HK singers and Taiwan singers Such as Cheng Lin, Jiang Da Wei, Li Ling Yu, Tu Hong Gang, Tang Li, Prudence Liew, Priscilla Chan, Sandy Lam, Hou De Jian and so on. In 1989, GDTV and HK TVB held the 1st Guangdong and Hong Kong Cup Pop Singing Competition jointly. He was one of organizer and producer.  After settled in Canada in 1995, he uses music, media and entertainment to bridge the cultures between Canada and China. Once he was the board of director for Overseas Chinese Music Society (Ontario) and Markham symphony orchestra. He is currently serving as the board of director of Canadian Sinfonietta. During the past few years, he was a chairperson to organize CS Gala 2015 for pop concert of the Phantom of the Opera and organized CS Gala 2017 for pop concert with singers Ricky Chan and Jeffrey Li. Wu is very experienced in international marketing business, he is a founder of Canoman Music Inc., which is dealing with strings musical instruments import and export business in Canada and USA for nearly 20 years. With his previous broadcasting experience, he also founded the Jollying Art & Media Co., Ltd. in Guangzhou which organized a numerous TV Broadcasting productions, classical and pop music concerts such as 52 episodes of TV series "Gourmet Angel" with Guangdong TV sports channel during the Guangzhou Asian Game 2010, The Guangdong Piano Master Class series and large acrobatic ballet” Swan Lake” tour, etc.. Wu is currently the president of Cross Ocean Culture Association in Canada. As Chinese officially designated organizer, he successfully organized the 2017 Convention on Exchange of Overseas Talents and the 19th Guangzhou Convention of Oversea Chinese Scholars in Science and Technology in Toronto.
